WORTH

Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

WORTH is a program administrated by SAWSO in Uganda that enables women to learn money management
through literacy, savings, and income generation.

Women divide into groups of 25 and work together saving money.  Through this self help program, women learn
the principles of dividends and interest to enable them to start their own businesses or manage village banks.

WORTH has taken tremendous strides toward the empowerment of women of Uganda.  The coordinated effort of these women has helped strengthen their communities.  By meeting the economic needs of their families, we
have been able to transform their lives.
